Most of the aftermarket intakes available for the NSX offer little to no performance gains. In fact, a few out there actually degrade performance…a testament to Honda engineering. With this in mind, I decided to replace the filter and keep things as is. But why not get my style on? So  I picked up this snazzy light-weight (dry) carbon fiber air box lid from Comptech.

These are probably not worth the price, but I wanted a nice way to finish off the new wheels. Advan has traditionally never released centercaps with their wheels; but due to increased popularity on the street, they have released these new caps in 2009. This is the Low type. Thanks to the boys at Z1 Performance for hooking me up.

Here is a test shot with some new cheap flashes. Used Canon EF: 24-70mm f/2.8 L, two Vivitar 285 HV, Blazzeo RF Speedlites Trigger and Receivers.

For the hell of it, I decided to take a pic of my Advan RS’s. I used a Canon EF: 24-70mm f/2.8 L, and one Vivitar Flash (off camera). The picture is comprised of two layers due to the body of the car looking too blown out.

New Advan RS Teaser.  Offsets:  17×8 et37 (f) and 18×10 et35 (r). I used a 3mm spacer in front and 5mm in rear. This essentially changed the offsets to +34 and +30 respectively. Car is a bit damp from driving in the rain. First time  with these tires (wheels/tires used), handled well. Specs, 215/40/17 and 265/35/18. I typically like to run a bit lower profile but what ya gonna do with a used setup?

Here is a video by my buddy Jeremy Cliff.

You are specifically hearing the following exhaust components:

    • GTone f1 v5.1 exhaust (stainless steel with factory issued titanium burnt single tips)
    • Cantrell Concepts Airflow Induction System
    • Custom TIG welded Test Pipes

Super Cars Saturday’s was this past weekend in Glenview, IL.  Here is a shot I took at the meet. From an enthusiast standpoint, meets are a great to see a variety of cars. From a photographer’s prospective, you have no control on weather, people, light, etc. Click here for the larger version of this shot.

Here is a quick pic from this past weekend’s meet @ GRD (Villa Park, IL).  I really liked the BBS LM wheels that my buddy John selected for his GTR. The red centercaps work really well. My NSX is intentionally out-of-focus to highlight the BBS wheels.

In 1999, a special Zanardi edition NSX was sold in the United States. With only 50 of these ever sold, it is easily the most coveted NSX to date.  The signature series NSX takes its name from two-time CART open-wheel racing championship driver, Alex Zanardi.  This shift knob was specially made for the Zanardi edition NSX.  It’s weighted, and a much improved shift feel compared to the stock shift knob.

A feature on the new 2002 NA2 NSX-R in Japan is a unique mesh shift boot complete with carbon fiber trim. This piece replaced the factory shift boot and console trim piece.

Just a small engine dress up part. This is a Carbon Fiber Manifold Plate by Science of Speed.

    SOS- CF Manifold Plate

I added a rear window garnish to replace the OEM version. The Rear Window Garnish (RWG) is made of carbon fiber and modified by Downforce (DF) to take advantage of the car’s air flow during high speeds. DF raised the vent by an unnoticeable 3/4″ in height the vent can catch more air to cool the engine bay off.
