    Default 911 turbo - 2014

This is rather nuts... I know it cost just under 200K, but still...

Some of the 50 runs from 0-100 were done hands free, pulled straight, lol!

It was 61 runs. And an awesomely brutal test for a car, especially in an age where most launch controls give you one or two runs before going into limp mode.

Coincidentally, just last Friday I parked my GT-R in a lot next to a gorgeous black late-model (2015 or 2016?) 911 Turbo roadster. As I returned to my car a 30-something couple was approaching the 911. I commented that we had the two best cars in the lot. The 911 owner complimented me on the GT-R, noting that he regularly street races other cars and virtually always wins, but that he had just been smoked by a new GT-R (the owner of which told him it did 0-60 stock in 2.8s). The 911 owner was surprised that his lighter car with 480 hp could be beaten so easily by the heavier GT-R. (Of course, its the computer controlled AWD plus the quick dual-clutch trans, as well as the now 545 hp.)

I look forward to one day choosing between a 911 and a GTR.
