Question Chicago Z (How do we improve the community/ Get people excited)?

....is like a desert nowadays with no contributions from the moderators. Where the hell are the moderators at?!?

It's sad to see how this site has become.

I suppose people are gradually migrating over to the JDM forum......

I know I have only been on this site for a couple years now but I do agree that it has been getting slower and slower. Maybe we need to refresh it a little bit and allow some new people to step up and try to get things going again... I really enjoy the more select group that this forum attracts but we need to be more active and reach out more I feel.

I have no suggestions, people just need to step up and get more involved, others will follow...

Im here! You cant blame the site being slow on the moderators. The users are what makes the site what it is.

I think as Z/G get older and sold off, old member become less active. And there's no enough new members to fill the gap.

One thing I thought was cool over at a new Z/G club in Indiana (iNi) is the install meets they have. Where people just gather up at a member's garage with tools and install new parts they just bought.

Any kind of weekly activities and gathering would be helpful to resolve the situation.

Im thinking of setting up a mini-meet @ superdawgs on Milwaukke and Devon ave. Just have to come up with a date and let the owner know. Would that be an ok location for people???? I agree with Chi-City G we need to step up and get some meets going.

If the site is slow, shouldn't the mods and the admins think of different ways to keep the site going?

In a sense yes. Some new guys who want to step up and help out too would be nice. We had a good guy last season who for no reason stepped down

What do you guys want to see?

It's during season. People have their cars out and about, the weather is nice and most aren't sitting around bench racing (speaking figuratively, as in being as active) on the forums as much. I think really what this site comes down to during summer is a place to post up meets rather than a lot of online discussion. My 2 cents that I think applies to this community solely.
