    Default used lenses

so, i've been considering upgrading a couple of my lenses. question - what are the used lenses go for? 50% of original? lower/higher? ebay or some place else? any feedback is highly appreciated.

I would say close to free, and you should sell them to me.

If you are looking to buy the higher end lenses, don't expect a huge drop off in price for used. I usually see them about 10-20% less than brand new.

Honestly, though, it depends on the lens.
Some lenses retain their value almost to a 100% (Nikon's old 85mm 1.4 is STILL close to 1200), and some drop their values like WHOA.

i would buy the upgraded lenses brand new - trying to figure out what mine are worth. one, is the starter and i know won't be worth much. the other is a 10-22 wide angle. when i bought it brand new, it was over $700.

dude, grip his selling his 10-22 practically brand new on JDM Chicago. Check the classified section. But as far as lens' go. Canon L series maintains their value VERY well. It's ridiculous how well.
