Default November 2009 Car of the Month - IPx

ChicagoZ.com :What got you hooked to the G35 that you ended up purchasing it?

IPx :To be honest, I initially fell in love with the G35 coupe when it first came out in 2003 due to its ground breaking looks, power, and as well as the sexy exhaust note. Since then, I was set on buying myself a coupe when I had enough money to afford it. But by the time I had enough money to purchase one, the 2nd generation G35 sedans had just been released on the market. So I had a tough decision to make. Compared to the G coupe, the interior of the 2nd gen sedans far surpassed the interior of the 1st gen coupe in all aspects, the HP was better, and plus the practicality of a 4 door car won out so here I am with my car.

ChicagoZ.com :What action does your G35 mostly see?

IPx :My G is my grocery getter er...daily driver and sees sun, rain, snow, and salt.

    ChicagoZ.com :Any performance specs?

IPx :No performance specs currently. However, there are people on other websites with a similar list of mods that are running 260-270awhp.

ChicagoZ.com :What other modifications are you planning on doing to the G35, if any?

IPx :This might be a pretty busy winter season in which I planning on installing:
    1. Impul full body half lip kit
    2. Racing Brake open slotted front rotors
    3. Window tints now that the law finally past
    4. Having Project X fabricate a trunk set up to accommodate my Soundstream subwoofers/ amplifier

Later down the road, I plan to install coilovers as soon as someone develops a set for 2nd generation X sedans and finally, one can never rule out the possibility of good 'ole twin turbos.

    Modifications:

    Performance:
Stillen 2nd Generation Dual Long Tube Intakes
    Stillen Catback Exhaust
Black Betty 4 AWG Grounding Wires
    Eibach Prokit Springs
    Custom Powder Coated Akebono BBK
    GTSpec Front Strut Brace

    Engine Bay:
    Nismo Oil and Radiator Caps
    Project X Engine Bay LED’s
    Gallery Fresh Bolts
    Custom Painted Engine Cover

    Exterior:
    G35 Sport Front Bumper
    Sport Chin Spoiler
    Sport Trunk Spoiler
    Midnight Black Grille
    Blacked Out Headlights

    Interior:
    Paddle Shifters
    Infiniti Illuminated Kick Plates
    Footwell Ambient Lights
    Aluminum Pedals
    White LED Interior

    Wheels/Tires:
Summer: Volk GTS Phantom Black 19/8.5 with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/40/19
Winter: G37 Coupe Sport 19” Wheels Front 19/8.5 Rear 19/9 with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 245/40/19
    Crabby Old Man
    Team Project X
