ChicagoZ.com :What got you hooked to the G35 that you ended up purchasing it?

Brianlg35c: I'm really not sure how I first heard about the G35 back in 2002, but I knew I loved the design and had to have one. Finally a good looking 2+2 coupe, I could enjoy driving and fit my family in. The hp/torque numbers looked impressive as well. I was so excited to get one, I almost bought a slush box automatic (no offense to auto owners) the first time I test drove one, but my wife reminded me to be patient and wait for my ordered six speed. Thank god for wives!

ChicagoZ.com :What action does your G35 mostly see? drag, autox, road race, show car, weekend car, and/or daily driver...

Brianlg35c: It's more of a weekend car. I'll get it out in the winter, as long as there's no salt on the road.

ChicagoZ.com :Any performance specs? 1/4 mile@mph, whp/wtorq, track times...

Brianlg35c: 510whp / 500whtq. @ 14psi

ChicagoZ.com :What other modifications are you planning on doing to the G35, if any? Whether it's performance, handling, appearance, and/or sound system....

Brianlg35c: Nothing major for a while, but I would like to roll my fenders and either get a new rear bumper or modify my current KenStyle bumper for a little less aggressive look. Also, a big thanks to Irshad, Tuan, Earl and all the guys at Genesis Racing Development, for a great job on the installation & tuning.

Same wheels?? I know Irshad/GRD broke in my built motor for 500-1,000 miles back in September of 2007.

im lost....2 of the past 3 COTM's have been cars that are no where near Chicago. We have so many great cars here that deserve it (not that the 2 didnt deserve it) but come on...

^ We don't have any restrictions on who can win. If you're a member here, you are eligible, regardless of where you are from. I don't want to pigeonhole this club, especially as it grows and expands. Brian is more involved in Chicago and on this site then many of the locals who are signed up on this forum. But that's not the point. Hopefully this post clarifies, and we can get back to the topic at hand.
